Check-out time at the hotel...we pile everything into a cab and head over to CIUT radio!!!
We get a couple of hours to set up & record 4 tracks for CIUT before piling all the gear into another cab and heading off to the airport for our flights back to Engerland!
Here are the 4 songs we recorded live with the lovely Jonathan Hawkes for Take 5 on CIUT...enjoy! Goodbye Toronto! We had a great time! Met some great people! We'll be back! x

After snoozing through the last few hours of conferences, Molloy head out into the streets of Toronto with Mikey as their guide!
Whilst Molloy wait for their dinner at Café Crèpe...
...Mikey tries to hustle-up a last minute Molloy show!
Caz finally finds her holy grail...the Joan Jett signature Gibson double cutaway Melody Maker! We get to the guitar shop 10 minutes before it closes after a frantic cab journey across downtown Toronto, have a quick play, and the deal is done...Caz has her new ROCK axe!
Great shop! It's a shame we arrived so late...we could have spent all day in there...
As the sun sets over Toronto we head back to the hotel to prepare for our final night in Canadia!
But on the way back we decide to say goodbye to the Rok Boutique...in the hope that we can find the slider that dropped off of Caz's Yamaha CS01 the evening before after our showcase...
...and we found it!!! In the gutter!! This fact didn't seem to put Mikey off from displaying the found article in his mouth...
And back at the hotel we enjoy a very large pizza indeed...so large in fact, that there was one slice left when we had finished!!! Then it's out to party and see some bands including our new friends "Modern Boys/Modern Girls" and "Bella Clava" who helped us out with synth stands for our gigs! Cheers guys!!
Chris & Mikey...ROCK terrorists!
Molloy & Mikey partying with Dave Foley!!!! Yay!

After a morning of networking & conferences, we bump into Mikey! Yay!
We continue by playing charades in the foyer, briefly joined by the lovely red bull girls, who were rubbish at charades, but gave us free red bull, yay!
So, bad news when we get to our hotel...they can't get as a taxi-van to take us & our equipment to the venue for our showcase. Concierge points outside and says "He'll take you for the same price though"...so we all pile into a limo!
After "arriving in style", we instantly took a shine to the Rok Boutique...
The sound engineer's booth! Posters of Van Halen, Ratt, Ozzy...how can you not LOVE this place? (Peter the sound engineer was lovely, too...)
Molloy...Dressed to kill.
"Smokin' in the Boys Room"...or, as Chris cleverly pointed out, "Lord of the Smoke Rings"...
Okay, now we're ready to get on that stage and ROCK!!!!!
And we did...
Then around 1am it's time to start thinking about packing our stuff into a taxi and heading over to the legendary "El Mocambo"... not only have the Stones played there back in the day...but we are about to tread the same boards as...Judas Priest!
We arrive as The Johnstones are finishing up a very enjoyable, energetic set (the drummer is the new Tommy Lee!) and start setting up our show during the lovely The Rubicks' set..."Shore-ditch!". Come on! And we hit the stage just gone 3am!
Luckily Mikey Manville turned up at the Elmo too and took some photos of us!
We had a great night!!!! Rock and Roll!!!!!

"Hmm...interesting..."
We finally find our way to the "Eatery" in the bowels of the Mall at Union Station... Harvey's all round...the staff are cool!
Riding the Rocket baby, yeah! We take the "subway" back to the hotel, visit the "washroom", pick up our guitars & "4-string" and get a cab down to Mitzi's Sister, where the lovely Fred & Paul have put us on the bill for a CMW showcase warm-up gig!
After Irish band "The Minutes" we play a storming set and are followed onstage by a bunch of lovely guys called "The Low Heroes".

Quick, to the registration area where bands who're playing Canadian Music Week need to go to pick up their passes and shit.
Done! We got the passes AND met this cool dude called "Brett" who overheard our conversation with the dude at the registration area about not having any synth stands and then offered to lend us his! Way to go Brett!
Hmm... all these guitars and no Gibson Joan Jett signature model Melody Maker... what to do...
We did try out a 1600 dollar black on black Gibson SG. It rocked! Yeah, check out the guys with the 1600 dollar Gibson SG...C'mon!
The guy in the shop is a Status Quo fan...and he likes Coronation Street...he's a dude!
Then it was off to St George for our radio interview on CIUT! Here's the link to the Electric Boogaloo podcast. We're on air Friday at 2pm! Yeah baby!
Yeah, but the retards that we are forgot to take any photographs when we were there. Not our fault, I say. Toz is usually taking photos in these situations, but guess what? Yes, that's right, he was still stuck in bed with scarlett johansson or some shit!
Then we went record shopping! We found this juke box in Sonic Boom Records...check out the fine, fine music...
"Should I buy the 7" of Dave Lee Roth's Goin' Crazy? It's got the spanish language version on the b side, hermano!"
Weirdest thing though, that scary guy behind Caz wasn't there when I took the photo...just appeared when we got the film developed...oooooooh...
Turns out it was the security guy, Phil. Phil has a rare form of skull. It's on the outside of his face. Lot's of teeth, wife, two kids, platform shoes...
Phil played the keys for Paul Hardcastle in the eighties when he was only n-n-n-n-n-n-nineteen!
Yes, they had a fair few records in Sonic Boom...that's probably why they hire someone like Phil to watch over their stock...
Honest Eds... you could get lost in there! And we did. It's quite scary.
Yeah man... Our Sonic Boom swag! Alas, Chris was far from impressed...

We went out to the CMW kick off party. It was kicking off! Saw a couple of bands, met a Scottish band we played with at the Fringe last year, nice surprise...they were good! Met this crazy dude called Mikey who posed as our manager for a while and did some networking for us, introduced us to Steam Whistle beer, drove us home! A legend.
Yeah man! Good night? Yes, it was.
Our Canadian diet... Reese for every meal.
We're urban cowboys!
Caz had the B52... Coffee, Grand Marnier, Kalhua and Baileys. Chaz's one only had 1 type of alcohol.
Mr Manager..
Jez didn't have any of your fancy coffees, no... he had a pint with his crepe. Mmm...
Stomachs fully charged we head back into the cold Toronto evening
Caz 'looking for business'... well drumming up punters to come to the Molloy show. Yeah man!
I think that this photograph will finally put an end to people asking,"What's Japa-cheesy?"
Look! There's Toronto!
And they've got green & orange cabs...
Downtown Toronto from Molloy's hotel room...and to the left is Allan Gardens! (not pictured...it looks pretty grim)
"How many sugars in yer coffee?"..."Busy..."
What's the story?
Mmm...burritos...
Chicken with extra cheese, lots of beans...yet surprisingly a quiet night was had by all. Must be the jetlag.
Good night!
